Basement walls

There was some stress recently as the bank gave me a deadline to get insurance and at the last minute, the insurance company said I had to have the old house on the property torn down before they would insure me. Since then, the bank had given me an extension and the walls of the basement are up. 

We have a hole

The beginnings of a basement started this Friday. On Thursday, I had to write a check for $40k to my contractor. It took me three tries to write it.
