For the past nine months, I’ve been meeting with an architect and, after making modifications to the electrical plan, all plans should be done this week. I realize this is the first step but what a long road it has been already. So far, I’ve purchased 3.3 acres from a neighbor and am buying an additional 2.9 acres. We’re currently waiting on the surveyor for that. Then it’s the title company, the courthouse, securing finances . . . the list goes on and on.
I’m also in the process of getting quotes for a pool. The pool is really driving the timeline. I would have had no problem renting for a few more years but I’ve waited long enough for a pool. It’s time!
